A Simple, Sweet Recipe to Share with Anyone this Holiday

The season of giving and sweets is here and everyone, not just the immediate family, deserves to know that they are appreciated and make a difference in your life and in the community that surrounds you.

With this simple, fun, safe, and cost effective recipe you can help your child recognize and share their appreciation this winter with anyone and everyone.

All it takes is four main ingredients: Rice Krispies, marshmallows (pumpkin spice flavor optional), butter, and vanilla extract. Even better, your child can do most of the work to create this recipe on their own allowing them to put their love into each Pumpkin Rice Krispy slice to give away and be proud of.

Melting the butter on the stovetop may take your supervision but if your child wants to take full control an alternative method is to melt the butter in the microwave. This method only takes a few seconds and may speed up production time and allow for that many more people to receive your special pumpkin slices this holiday.

Keep the contagious spirit of giving in motion. Remind your child why it is important to give – if you need a little reminder, check out our other November blogs to learn all about the act of giving. Don’t forget to send us your pictures of your amazing Thanksgiving treats!
